Care, Handling and Storage

                                               Instructions

 Following these simple instructions will preserve the quality appearance of your doors and  ensure that you meet the warranty guidelines.

Care:

      Treat the doors as you would a piece of fine furniture. 

Handling:

      1. Handling damage is not considered a factory defect

      2. All doors should be handled with clean gloves to eliminate dirt and oil from the surface of       the door face. Bare hands can leave soil and oil stains.

      3. Lift or carry doors. Do not slide doors across one another

      4. Use moisture free air hoses only

Storage:

      1. Only store the doors in an enclosed building with an operational and balanced HVAC   system.   Never store doors outside exposed to the elements

      2.  Keep doors dry. Do not subject doors to extremes of temperature or humidity.  Relative humidity should not be less than 25% or more than 55%.   Temperature should not be less than fifty (50) degrees F or greater than ninety (90) degrees F.

        3. Door should not be subjected to rapid changes in temperature or humidity.  Avoid sudden changes such as forced heat to dry a building.

     4. Do not store doors in direct sunlight.  All wood species are photo sensitive. Keep doors under cover, allowing for proper air circulation prior to finishing.

     5. Exterior doors should be stored on edge, supported vertically (not leaning)

     6. Do not deliver doors to the job site or install until concrete floor, foundations and plaster or dry wall work is completed and fully dry.

     7. Allow doors to become acclimated to finished building heat and humidity before fitting and hanging.

        8. If doors are stored for long periods of time (longer than 3 days), doors must be sealed (all six sides and hard­ware cutouts)
